How to Use Modern-Day Signage to Stand out in a Crowded Marketplace
As a business owner, you need to be constantly trying to improve your product or service so that you stay one step ahead of your competition and fulfil your primary objective. This calls for a constant process of reinvention and the ability to come up with – and test – different solutions. Take your outdoor signage as an example. Is this really living up to its potential and causing people to take interest in your wares? If not, why should you consider a more "illuminating" approach instead?
Are You Standing Out?
At various times during the course of a year, you will be open for business during the hours of darkness. This may be especially true in winter, and during a dreary day, you need to shine a spotlight on your services or you will, quite literally, be invisible. You may already have a conventional, illuminated sign outside for this purpose, and you may have chosen fluorescent or neon bulbs. However, you should probably reconsider this completely and add some LED signs instead.
Problems With the Old Approach
Neon and fluorescent bulbs are very "old hat" in this technologically efficient world. They have a relatively short lifespan and can certainly become less luminescent, especially as the gases contained within some of these bulbs may tend to leak out. Furthermore, they're not very efficient when weather conditions change or when somebody is trying to view your sign against some bright sunlight. Conversely, LED signs will be fully efficient in any conditions and will say a lot about your business efficiency and modern-day image as well.
From time to time, bad weather conditions can roll in, and conventional bulbs may not be fully resistant. This can cause old-style bulbs to break or fail, and if you're not quick to notice, part of your sign could be illegible. This will cause confusion among your prospects and create a bad impression at the very moment when you need that sign to be working for you.
Better in the Long Term
While you may have to invest a little more in a sign that features LED technology, you'll save money over the long term through lower electricity bills and less maintenance. All in all, this should be a good investment from a practical and promotional point of view.
Over to You
Make sure that you make the move towards LED signage before your competition, and talk with your signage supplier now to look through all your options.
